I wanted to keep mum about meeting Brendan and his parents to maintain Brendan's privacy, but the amount of letters I had been receiving about Brendan grew to such uncontrolled amounts that I decided to submit my story to my webmaster in order to answer all of your queries here about Brendan, as I knew him during his cruise onboard the MS Song Of Flower. Those of you who learned about me through Ms Tomaiini's website tribute to Brendan will already know most of the story except for the other details that I only would know from onboard the ship. I will answer all your questions here: Q: Was Brendan travelling with Ashton (his wife) or with another lady in his life? A: Brendan certainly travelled with a lady - his beautiful mother - Carol together with his handsome Dad Peter, no Ashton wasn't there during that cruise. Q: Was he shooting a film in that part of the world when you met him? A: No, in fact the cruise was a gift from Brendan's parents to give him time to relax before he started the bulk of his work from the after-cruise date, to the present! Q: What was he like in person? A: He was quiet, genteel and very courteous. Very amiable and fun to talk to. He had a wacky sense of humor (once he got comfortable) and he often made us laugh once he got going. We had an ongoing joke about fish during our appetizer (caviar), you'll see it in his autograph. Q: Did he meet someone special on that cruise? A: You mean, like a love interest? I really don't know as I wasn't with him 24 hours a day. I saw him some hours of the day and we had a couple of dinners with his parents and their friends. We once had a fun dance at the nightclub and discotheque. I had to stand on the stage when I danced with him. (I'm barely 5 feet tall!) Q: What interesting things did Brendan do during the cruise? He was a "kick-boxing" spectator on one evening when all went out in Bangkok to take in the local entertainment. Went dancing and shopping for some heavily beaded ornate-looking vest made and embroidered in Thailand that he so loved. During visits to the beach, Brendan enjoyed the sand and sea plus the luxurious food service given by the ship and their sister hotel in Phuket. I'll never forget his face when his bare feet touched the hot sand in Phuket beach, it was hilarious! Q: Will you see Brendan again onboard a ship? A: That I don't know. If his family decides to go on a cruise with him again and i happen to be one of the entertainers onboard then you can bet I will see him again and enjoy a dinner with his family one more time. I look forward to meet his wife Ashton. Q: I heard the Brendan can sing, did he sing with you onboard the ship? A: In fact he rendered a short Beatle song at the dinner table and we all joined in and sung with him, we were a lively group at the Song of Flower dining room. He has a good voice and i'm sure if he wished to sing professionally, he can do it in the Brendan Fraser way. I think he can do whatever he sets himself to do. Q: Is he as handsome as he looks on the giant movie screen and in his photographs? A: Ladies...indeed he is, and more, if that is possible. Even more attractive and handsome than his screen persona. He is riveting, funny and very intelligent. Beauty and Brains - he is. Q: Can you please tell him that I am crazy about him and will gladly drop everything to be his wife? A: I doubt if I will have a chance to tell him this. Besides I don't think Mrs. Brendan Fraser will approve. (-; |
